Two Buildings will house Forty private rooms with private baths. 

One building will offer a lobby, reception area, four meeting rooms, sun room, porch, offices, and gift shop.

Vision

We are excited about what the Lord is doing in the hearts of those involved at The Country Place as we seek to expand our ministry to include adult accommodations.. God has put on our hearts the desire to reach the adult community of the Mid-South and raise our standards in all aspects of serve to the groups that use this facility.

To give a short history ...
Several years ago the seed was planted for an adult facility at The Country Place to serve the increasing demand in the Mid-South for adult retreats and a donation was given to encourage the vision. We conducted a survey (summary of findings enclosed) of the Mid-South region, revealing the absolute demand among churches for adult accommodations. The survey also recognized the obvious - The Country Place is most suited to satisfy this need.

As plans evolved, we began upgrading much of our facility, including paving the driveway and parking lot, renovating the dining room and all cottages, providing computer and video equipment in the conference room, establishing a walking Garden, and numerous other improvements to compliment an adult ministry. This completed, we are now ready for the Harvest House.

The Harvest House will initially establish three buildings; one will feature a lobby, lounge area, meeting rooms, gift shop, and offices. The remaining two buildings will have 20 rooms per building, each room having two queen size beds & a private bath.

Ministry Opportunities ...
Facility Rental: The obvious is the continued use by various churches and organizations throughout the Mid-South.

Community Partnership: Numerous efforts are being made to unify the communities of Memphis, but it will require a retreat setting to build lasting relationships. Communication, fellowship, exchanging ideas, and working together are all part of the plan as Harvest House offers the perfect opportunity to encourage this partnership.

Missionaries and Sending Agencies: We want to open our doors to the agencies for seminars and training, and offer international missionaries to be our guests and take some time for rest and reconditioning while they are in the states.

Family Retreats: A thing of the past, we want to bring it back. Their has never been anything as good for a family as getting away for a retreat and we want to do it again. The family needs a place to escape from the world and this would be perfect.
