20-22 AUGUST '21

We are incredibly excited to be hosting the first annual Advance retreat for men! This years topic will be “Moving Forward in a Post-Christian Society”. I believe we are all aware that Christian values are under attack in our country. So how do we as men who love Jesus Christ respond? Kennon Vaughan and Jason Seville will be tackling this subject on August 20-22, 2021 at TCP. We will have some great teaching, heart-felt worship, & amazing food as well as many optional activities: shooting range, challenging workouts, basketball, axe throwing, and more. Stay tuned as we will continue to update as we move closer to the date!

What’s included?

2 nights

5 meals

Worship & teaching

Snacks throughout the time

Activities (some will require additional fees - shooting range, etc)

So where did Advance come from?

Advance: Moving Forward in a purposeful way. As Christian men, we need to be moving forward in a purposeful way.  We need to be taking action to set the standard of Godly living. Biblical values and lifestyle are vital to a thriving community and as we see the last vestiges of Christian values pulled from society, we as Believers need to consider how we will live in communities that no longer consider Biblical perspective to be a part of how we live.

Post-Christian: Our country has enjoyed the privilege of operating on the foundation of Christian values since it’s inception. And while our country has failed in its interpretation and application in many ways at various seasons, these Biblical principles have been a guiding light as we have worked to apply them better with each passing generation. Yet, in my lifetime we have watched as this foundation has slowly crumbled under our feet and the most recent election is seeing the last traces of this foundation being removed as we now stand on shifting sand.  No one group or organization has created this situation, but rather a cumulative effort by many misguided groups. And the Christian community has stood on the side for far too long and watched.

We are now at a place that we must begin considering as individuals how we will respond in light of all these changes.  How do we respond to a society that no longer accepts Christian values?  How do we respond in a Biblical way to the challenges that are upon us?  How do we become effective and influential in our stance for Christ?
